Main Residence
The main building is a grand edifice encompassing 310 square meters (3,300 square feet) across an earth-floored *doma* and 11 rooms. As explained in its registration as a cultural property, “decorations are generally modest and practical, but materials are of exceptional quality,” and the building exhibits the unadorned, simple but sturdy style of samurai residences.
Briefly become the residence's lord, and spend your time thinking of clan and country, and their past and future. In warm seasons, falling asleep in futon laid out on the tatami mats is a priceless experience. Local country food is prepared for guests around the main building's hearth and stove.
